Former national badminton champion Tania Mallick has been appointed PCB’s women’s cricket manager and she will take up the position on October 1st. Tania has replaced Urooj Mumtaz, who resigned in May to focus on selection issues only.
Tania holds a master’s degree from LUMS University, has represented Pakistan at the 1986 Seoul Asian Games and was a national champion from 1987-88.
She has been the Vice President of the Punjab Olympic Association since 2010, the Vice President of the Punjab Squash Association and currently serves as a member of the Education and Women’s Committees of the Pakistan Olympic Association.
She has also worked on World Bank women’s development projects in addition to multinational organizations.
