Unfavorable weather in the Inglewood area of Los Angeles has forced a delay in the “Monday Night Football” match between the Raiders and Chargers.
The game, which was originally scheduled to start at 8:15 p.m. ET, will now begin much later after the lightning was detected in the area. The call came from NFL headquarters in New York despite the fact that SoFi Stadium is an indoor stadium in Los Angeles. However, there are some vulnerable areas on its roof, which made the league act out of obvious caution.

The decision was apparently news to Raiders coach Jon Gruden, who was clearly confused when he was informed of the delay:
