New Delhi, October 7 (PTI) Auditorium with seating for 800 people, 1000-seat open amphitheater, luxurious world-class semi-Olympic-size swimming pool with heating and cooling, indoor court for squash and table tennis, basketball and volleyball courts are available Delhi Government Special Education School.
According to the authorities, the school, which will be built for 39.73 billion rubles, will be completed within a year, when all world-class educational and sports facilities will be available to its students.
Deputy Prime Minister Manish Sisodia laid the foundation stone for this specialized college in Mehram Nagar on Thursday.
“The new building of this school has been designed taking into account the general development of the children. This school building is different from the normal schools and the whole school facilities are involved in the children’s learning process,” he said.
“It is our duty to provide all the facilities for schools, but a good school is not only marked by a magnificent building, but by the hard work of its students and teachers,” Sisodia added.
Sharing information about the proposed school, a Delhi government official said the school has 52 classrooms.
“All classrooms are equipped with all modern teaching facilities. The smart classrooms are suitable for digital learning and have all the facilities to meet the needs of children. This school also has eight laboratories. The four-storey school building has two laboratories on each floor. All laboratories have the latest modern facilities.
“In addition to the studies, world-class sports facilities are being developed in the school premises to promote children’s physical development and their interest in sports. A basketball court, tennis court and volleyball court will be built on the school’s roof, which is unique. PTI GJS CK
