COLUMBIA, Mo. Both teams wanted the first conference win of the season, with Alabama and Missouri battling for five in one on Wednesday night at the Hearnes Center when Crimson Tide won a tough battle 3-2.
Alabama (9-9, 1-5 SEC) crashed in the opening round to Missouri (3-15, 0-5 SEC) before winning 2-1 in the second and third games. The Tigers took a narrow four-point victory in the fourth to send the match to a decisive fifth. Missouri led 13-11, Tide made four missed late returns to victory, 15-13.
