Texas A&M football team received a solid SEC team in South Carolina on Saturday. The Aggies already had an upper and lower season, so some saw this as a trap game. I wasn’t one of those people.

And not Aggies, who blew up the doors of Kyle Field’s Gamecocks. The game was never questionable, and A&M led 31-0 in the first half.

Texas A&M benefited from a handful of key performances throughout the game. Today, I’m going through the three biggest performances of Texas A&M football players in their 44-14 victory over South Carolina.

Texas A&M Football Key Performers, No. 5: DE Tyree Johnson

I use the half plate to talk about Tyree Johnson because, frankly, I don’t know how long I can talk about a line of defense show. It said Johnson did everything he could have done on the defensive line.

The Aggie defense decided to record two losses at night, both of which were sacks. When he didn’t fire Zeb Nolan, he wreaked havoc on the backyard of South Carolina and brought pressure to the quarterback on or near every game.

It’s worth noting that Aggies benefited from a handful of other elite line-up performances, including Micheal Clemons and McKinnley Jackson, who both recorded at least one sack.

The Aggies line of defense took a big step forward on Saturday. But these performances weakened compared to a few others.
