AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas men’s basketball team is ranked 5th in a pre-season coach survey released by Ferris Mowers on Wednesday. This is UT’s highest preseason coach ranking for Longhorns since the 2009-2010 season, when Texas ranked 3rd.
Longhorns has finished in the early-season coaching poll for the first time since the 2014-15 season, when Texas finished 10th. UT is one of three Big 12 Conference teams selected to the Top 10 of the early-season coaching survey. Kansas is in 3rd place and Baylor is in 8th place.

The tip is set at 7.30pm Central at the Frank Erwin Center, and admission is free to the public. . Longhorns will open the regular season with a home game against the Houston Baptist on Tuesday, November 9th. The tip is scheduled for 8pm at the Central Erwin Center.
