Justin Fields played his first 100-yard rush in the Bears 33-22 loss to the 49ers in week 8. His performance included one of the most electronic touchdown times on Sunday afternoon.
Fields grabbed the fourth and 1 early in the fourth quarter and turned it into a 22-yard point. The Bears quarterback showed excellent obscurity and avoided numerous 49ers defenders on their way to the finish line.

The play was not originally designed as a Fields run. He changed his approach after seeing what was happening in front of him.
“I mean, in that situation you have to technically throw hot in there.” Fields told reporters After the game. “But there were too many friends in front of me and Khalil [Herbert] was covered. “
So, Fields decided to leave. How did he get so many 49ers wasted on his way to the finish line?
“It’s just instincts,” Fields said of his run. “Just try to play fourth and 1st and get the first down.”

Fields didn’t take all the credit for the impressive run. He shared it with his line of attack and recipients, praising their blocking and commitment to the non-script game.
“It shows that you know they want to win,” Fields said of his teammates. “It’s just an effort at that point. I mean, because it wasn’t designed, which wasn’t part of the play, but it just shows you what types they are and that they’re not going to quit until the whistle falls.”

The Bears were unable to win despite Fields ’efforts, but it was arguably the best performance of the rookie as a beginner. He completed 19 of 27 passes and 175 passes with a touchdown and abduction. He also added 103 yards and TD in the country after 10 scrambles.
Perhaps coach Matt Nagy, who skipped this game after receiving a positive COVID test, will encourage Field to use his legs more after this performance.
