Lady Vols won the sibling competition, 108-44

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. In a match between sibling head coaches Kellie Harper15/12 The Tennessee women’s basketball team won Ross Jolly, Harper’s brother, and the Georgia College Bobcats 108-44 at the Thompson-Boling Arena show on Wednesday night.

In real teamwork, each player scored a goal and recorded at least one rebound in the competition. Five Lady Volsia finished with double-digit points led by parents Rae Burrellin 18 points for an effective 7/9 shot from the field. Junior Jordan Horston 14 points, eight boards, four passes and three passes.

Graduate from Alexus Dye recorded six of its 12 points in the first quarter to launch the Lady Vol attack early, while Jordan Walker and Keyen green each scored 11 points. Walker added four rebounds, three assists and three assists to the game.

All 12 active Lady Volia played during the first half and recorded at least four minutes of activity. Tennessee improved their lead 50-19 at halftime, 15 points behind Burrell. Walker scored nine points at halftime, in addition to which he took four rebounds, fed three and made two passes. As a team, UT shot 48 percent from the field and held only 25 percent in Georgia College.

GOAL ATTACK: Tennessee went to the finish line early and often, beating the Bobcats 78-24. Lady Vols was also aggressive on the glass, ending in a 64-33 lead on the boards. UT’s 31 offensive rebounds led to 27 second-chance points.

DISCONNECTED BY YEAR: Lady Vols scored 108 points, the 12th best score ever made by Tennessee in a show match. It was the 23rd time UT reached the mark of the century in an exhibition competition.

Tennessee is in the post-Pat Summitt era in 10-0 pre-season show games, beating Carson-Newman eight times (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) as well as Georgia College (2021) and Coker. 2012) once each.
