INGLEWOOD, CA – Adrian Peterson, who played in the first game of his 15th NFL season after signing with the Titans last week, made a milestone touchdown in helping Tennessee win the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night by a whopping 28-16. .

Peterson’s 1-yard TD run, which came with a 3-minute showdown between conference leaders, was the 125th point in his career, taking him to Walter Payton in 11th place in NFL history.

“It’s a blessing,” Peterson said. “Here I am in a situation where I can still ignore and approach the guys who inspire me to be great and the best I can be.”

Peterson, 36, was out of the league before making a deal with the Titans on Monday to replace the injured Derrick Henry. Tennessee immediately put him in the opening lineup, and while he ran just 21 yards in 10 moves, Peterson’s fourth-quarter run gave him 119 rushes of TDs in his career and 125 overall.

“I thought he brought energy and professionalism,” said Titans coach Mike Vrabel.

Peterson’s next touchdown draws him to a draw with Jim Brown in 10th place on the all-time chart.

The Titans 7-2 has the best record in the AFC and the best five-game winning streak in the NFL. They will host the New Orleans Saints next Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
