Saurabh Shukla, an experienced artist engaged in acting, writing and directing during his long career, is not yet ready to commit to any particular genre and is constantly looking for new opportunities.

“It’s one life, so I’m not going to settle for one! I like to do everything and not just play, write, direct, theater or table tennis. So whatever I want to do in my life, I try to do…, ”says the National Award-winning actor who is in Lucknow filming the OTT series. Bindiya.

He adds, “I try to break things down and focus on things that are going on and on hand. Jis wakt jo Cheez aap Sehej Tarah it kar pa rahe hai wo Kariye… so simple! We all try to balance things according to our abilities, but whether it happens or not, it’s in our hands and it’s just time to show.

Shukla has recently directed a film shot in Uttarakhand. “Because the film hasn’t been released yet, I can’t talk about it. The second script is ready and done, and I hope to direct it soon. ”He has directed in the past Raat Gai Baat Gai (2009), Pappu can’t dance secretly (2011) and I AM 24 (2012).

After the second wave, he shot Siddharth Sen in the Guptan series Yeah Cabbage Cabbage Akhen and kits Fear. “In between, I directed the film and two of my big films, Karan Malhotra shamshera and Milan Luthria’s Tadap – Both wishes will receive a theatrical release, he says.

The Raid the actor is of the opinion that some films were made for a theatrical experience and should only be viewed on the big screen.

“What we call the ultimate Bollywood film has its own expression that includes unbridled, vocal, fanfare, and a collective cinematic experience. On the other hand, OTT is more about realism and irritable content that touches on things and topics that the film ignored (to avoid controversy and censorship). However, it’s very close to the movie, but far from watching TV, ”the actor says.

Shukla admits the pandemic bothered him a lot, but he couldn’t slow him down.

“At first I was also alone at first, but then I started to get irritable. So, with the help of my photographers, my friends learned to use cameras I had bought but never used. By trial and error, I started filming myself without a script, and after filming for hours, days, weeks, and months, I made a 90-minute film that I script, directed, starred in, and even cut myself, Shukla says.

The movie is named Satyaprakash Param Covid and he sends it to film festivals.

“Let’s see where it leads. For me, it was everyday excitement and a personal experience of bending. So I want to conclude that nothing slows you down – only you can slow yourself down,” the actor says.
