AUBURN, Ala. Auburn football players I Craven, Anna Haddock and Hailey Whitaker was named CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District this week.

Auburn’s three honors are the highest in a single season in program history.

The Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team recognizes the country’s best student athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. A complete list of academic All-District Honors can be found here.

The first Team Academic All-District awards will qualify for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Vote. The Academic All-America awards for the first, second and third teams will be announced in early December.

Craven graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in three years last May and completed a 3.81 cumulative GPA in elementary school. She is in her first semester at a graduate school where she works to earn a master’s degree in clinical and mental health counseling. The senior is a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and was recently named a 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award.

Double team captain Craven has started every game in the back line of Auburn this season and has played all but 112 minutes. Alpharetta, Georgia, who was recently named to the SEC All-Tournament Team, leads all non-offensive players and has recorded career records in goals (three), wins (two) and points (nine).

Haddock is one of three District 4 sophomores named Academic All-District, majoring in entrepreneurship, and has a GPA of 4.00. He was a member of the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll last year and represents Auburn Football on the University Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

After earning numerous accolades as a freshman player a year ago, Haddock was recently named First Team All-SEC and currently leads Tigers in goals (nine) and points (26) while equalizing for the team’s lead in entry points (eight). A native player from Bowling Green, Kentucky, would break the top 10 of the season with his next goal and puncture. He has started all 37 races and registered 40 points to start his Auburn career.

Whitaker is working toward a bachelor’s degree in integrative biology, with a cumulative GPA of 3.88. Like Craven, he will not only be named team captain in 2021, but he will also be a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member.

Whitaker from Birmingham, Alabama has played in 75 of a possible 76 matches during his Auburn career and has earned 66 starts. Despite moving to a new defensive position early in the SEC this season, he helped lead the Tigers League into the top five closures and third-top finish in conference competitions.
