The best returning players

Ohio State was the only team in the last two NFL drafts to have 10 players selected. QB Justin Fields (11th overall), RB Trey Sermon (88th overall) and DT Tommy Togiai 132 (overall score) are just a few who have moved on to the next level. However, the Buckeyes aren’t in trouble for talent, but changing Fields proves a confusion about the riches available to Day. The two priorities of quarterback work are the redshirt freshman CJ Stroud and Jack Miller III moves to the period 2021.

The receiving core remains the same as Buckeyes ’top three receivers come back to Columbus. Their leading receiver, Chris Olave returns to his final year Garrett Wilson and Jameson Williams returning to their junior year. These three have a total of 1,606 reception yards and 15 touchdowns on their way to CFP Championship appearances. As for rushing, junior RB Mestari Teaga III takes over the workload left by Trey Sermon. Last year, Teague carried the ball 514 yards and led the team with eight touches.

In defense, OSU brings back a lot of experience, even if they don’t all start in 2020. Senior DT Haskell Garrett will continue to follow this year. Last season, he recorded a total of 20 tackles as well as four losses and two kicks. Another player who can influence the Buckeyes is the senior DE Tyreke Smith, because the combination of Garrett and Smith should be able to cause headaches on opposite lines of attack throughout the year.
