Ravi Shastri became Legit League cricket commissioner

New Delhi [India], November 15 (ANI): Legends League Cricket, a professional league for retired cricketers, announced on Monday that former head coach of India, Ravi Shastr, will be the league’s commissioner.
Shastri completed his season as head coach of the Indian cricket team and is starting a new turn at Legends League Cricket (LLC). A global league where former cricketers, the game’s legends, play competing cricket is emerging as a professional league where legends can relive old competitions on the field. Shastri, who has been successful in his career as a versatile cricketer and then as a thriving coach for Team India, brings tremendous value to the league.
The first season is scheduled for January 2022 in the Gulf.

“It feels great to stay in touch with cricket in the hustle and bustle of action, especially in Legends of the game, which have been champions in their own right. It’s going to be fun with serious cricket. These athletes have nothing new to prove, but they have a reputation and “It will be interesting to see how they do justice to it. I am very excited to be a part of Legends League Cricket. This is a unique initiative and we see a very bright future ahead,” RaviShastri said in an official release.
The first season of the LLC is scheduled to be held in January 2022 in the Gulf. The league features former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, England and other cricket countries divided into three teams representing India, Asia and the rest of the world.
Andrew Leipus, who has been involved with Team India and also with the National Cricket Academy, has already joined as the director of sports science to oversee the fitness of all players entering the league.
