Antonio Conte may have stopped coaching John Terry four years ago, but that hasn’t stopped the Italian from telling his former defender to cut the biscuits.
Conte, 52, spent just one season coaching Terry, 40, when the pair were together in Chelsea, and the former England captain lifted the Premier League championship before leaving Stamford Bridge.
Terry has since embarked on his own coaching career, spending three years as an assistant to Dean Smith at Aston Villa and is now making time for his next move, while Conte has recently taken the helm at Tottenham.

However, it has not prevented the Italian from visiting his former star and giving nutritional advice. Earlier this week, Terry posted a picture of biscuits, coffee and a couple of books on Instagram.

‘5k Running. Some reading time and a couple come up with, “the text read.” For a dog walk. Sunday lunch with family in the pub. Happy Sunday.’
Conte responded quickly and said, “John only 1 came up with” as well as winks and laughing emoticons.
Terry saw the fun side of Conte’s comment and wrote: “Still the boss @antonioconte pointed it out. I was the strongest and in the best shape of my career playing under Antonio’s lead.
Terry is fully aware of Conte’s attention to detail about his players ’diets, and the Italian has made his mark in Tottenham since he moved from Nuno Espirito Santo.
Nutrition has been one area to which Conte has paid tremendous attention during its first week in North London. He has even made sure his group eats lunch together at noon.
He has removed “heavy food and sandwiches” from the training ground canteen’s menu and has also given up ketchup and mayonnaise.
The amount of fruit juice given to players and the amount of oil and butter used in cooking have also been cut. He has also urged his stars to eat more fruit.
Conte used similar methods while being Chelsea’s manager and again banned ketchup in the dining room as well as pizza, fizzy drinks and brown sauce.
Chelsea stars were allowed to add salt and pepper to their dishes, but traditional vinegar was replaced with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
Conte did not withhold the physical condition of his new players after a win over two weeks ago by Vitesse Arnhem. He told them that some of them were overweight and demanded that their mentality change.
