Injured Lightning star Brayden points out endlessly

Tampa Bay Lightning star center Brayden Point have been sidelined for the time being due to an upper body injury, the team announced in a match played against Minnesota Wild on Sunday night.

Point was injured in Saturday’s 5-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils. He crashed violently into the wall in the third episode after stumbling and immediately grabbed his left shoulder and clavicle.

Lightning was sentenced to a penalty shot. Point took it and hit the crossbar before the game ended.

Point did not participate in the warm-ups before Sunday’s match against Minnesota and was not in the lineup. Tampa Bay announced in the first period that Point will be set aside indefinitely.

Point have scored seven goals and six assists in 16 matches this season

Point signed an eight-year, $ 76 million extension agreement in July. The contract will run for the period 2022-23 and will hold Point as a contract for the period 2029-30.

The 25-year-old Point has been a key bike in consecutive teams at the Tampa Bay Stanley Cup. He has scored 146 goals and 177 assists (323 points) in Lightning in 367 matches over five seasons.

Point’s performance in the playoffs has always been better, with he scoring the most post-season goals – 14 on both occasions – in the NHL in each of the previous two campaigns. In total, Point have 36 goals and 37 assists in 67 post-season matches.
