TThe international series of the fall of 2021 has been eventful, and the countries of the northern hemisphere have enjoyed amazing success over their increasingly tired southern counterparts. Here is The Breakdowns final year-end report

The best game Frances 40-25 Hitting New Zealand Paris offered a fascinating glimpse of what to expect at the 2023 Rugby World Cup. This was the first time the All Blacks have given 40 points to anyone since Ireland beat them in Chicago in 2016, and the halftime 24-6 loss was the biggest New Zealand New Zealand has ever known.

The best men’s player Antoine Dupont (France). An absolute dead certificate for the World Men’s Player of the Year award. Blues is a Scrum half with no visible weaknesses.

The best female player Sarah Bern (England). Back from injury and looks as strong, moving and influential as ever.

The most impressive personal performance Caelan Doris (Ireland v NZ). An Irish returnee was everywhere at All Blacks in Dublin, his best performance since the era of Joe Schmidt. Too bad the injury ruled Doris out of the British & Irish Lions tour.

The most dominant team of the month English red roses. They killed all the newcomers, including black ferns twice. It will take a bit of a hit at next year’s World Cup in New Zealand.

The best company Waisea Nayacalevu (Fiji). Flying Fijiians didn’t beat Wales with 14 men, but they made the most exciting attempt of the month, a gem of counterattack that followed a quick tap on their own 22 men. Nayacalevus ’unstoppable dive probably deserved this award in itself.

A moment of champagne Romain Ntamack turns a tight defensive position into a great offensive line behind his own line against New Zealand in Paris.

The best male newcomer Marcus Smith is in front of and in the middle of the New England, but 20-year-old Freddie Steward on the wing back hardly put his foot in the wrong.

The best female newcomer Heather Cowell. Two attempts and clever footwork during his test debut from a former gymnast now playing on the England wing.

The biggest disappointment Australia without Samu Kerev, Quade Cooper and Sean McMahon. Their decision to return to their Japanese clubs to practice their pre-season practice took the Wallabies all the momentum together.

Autumn head coach Andy Farrell (Ireland). The improvement in the attitude, sharpness, desire, condition, and intentions of his side has been visible to all.

Best Takla Courtney Lawes. How he managed to get back and catch Telusa Veainu flying to Tonga as he boarded the line was a small miracle.

Best pre-match background Draw in Wales-New Zealand in Cardiff and England-Australia in Twickenham. Dramatic lighting, fireworks, flamethrowers rugby union make their biggest days better and better.

The best referee Wayne Barnes (England). From the Rugby Football Union this month, it was nice to present our own test laws to all live English international referees.

Rassie Erasmus Water Transport Award Richard Cockerill (England). If anything eventually causes World Rugby to forbid coaches from running in the water on the field, it’s Cockerill’s sight on Twickenham’s lawn as pressure rises in the second half. England – South Africa. Provocative, me?

The biggest captain job Courtney Lawes (England). Did an excellent and unbeatable job as England’s captain on Owen Farrell’s farm. Nevertheless, running on the field after a substitution and showing opponents while the game is still running is not a globally recognized diplomatic technique.

The most emotional moment Wallaby kick Ollie Hoskins, who came late for the club’s duties with London Irish after numerous front-line injuries, shed tears of pride and joy after hearing about his first test call at the age of 28.

The biggest missed opportunity in the team table What a divine moment it would have been if Walless Christ Tshiunza and New Zealander Josh Lord had met each other this month. Let us all pray that it will happen one day.
