Black Friday College Football schedule, viewing guide and unseen filth

I’ve told you this several times before, but even if you get a pub on New Year’s Day, with my money best college football day on the entire calendar is Black Friday. You’ll be dealing with meaningful conference games, fierce competitions, a bonus to everyday morning football, and lots of stars and excuses for a day drink. I will die on this hill.

And today, friend, is there any low-key good there.

Here is your schedule in God’s right and right Central Standard Time Zone:

Gotta see TV

Arkansas -13.5 vs. Mizzou – Can the Tigers bring momentum from last week’s “shock” to the very hard Razorback Stadium and pull W? The Hogs have been excellent at home, and no one works as hard as they do. They also have no reason to drop their heads because of last week’s game.
The anger in this race is organic, sudden, and understandable: If you’ve ever been to one of these states, suddenly you hope to be somewhere else. The “Meth” mockery coming from either / both fan groups is as gratifyingly ignorant as the people who call each other a “redhead” in the Iron Bowl.

Boise State -2.5 San Diego State – Brady Hoke, America’s least talked about man, is among the top 20 Aztecs who seem ready to flee with the MWC crown. But SDSU is the underdog here for a reason: The Broncos have a better attack and a lot more talent. It’s a shame that this game is at 11 a.m. Central because it’s 9 a.m. in California and only 10 a.m. Boise time. Forget Gatorade, these guys need a bucket of Starbucks.
Still, after everyone wakes up, it should be a great game between two teams that have played tough games all season.

Keep an eye on…

Kansas State +3 Texas – The sad ‘Horns’ is still a favorite here for a number of reasons: the benefits of talent, playing at home, K Road’s poor road performance and – hopefully – despair. K State play better football and have a better team, but that’s no guarantee they’ll get a double. Sark is to win this game.

Cincinnati -14 in East Carolina – If you want a shock, don’t take a closer look. Pirates are a lot improved this season, and are ready to win penalty shots and rock battles. If Fickell doesn’t bully USC or the Bearcats don’t take this game seriously, or if their attention is on a hell of a good Houston team, they butter discard it. Easily.
And with the exception of SMU, Cincinnati has only looked like a team in the last month. Their stay in the CFP Top 4 can indeed be very short. The defeat would deviate forever from talking about investing another medium in these investments.
No pressure.

UNC in NC mode -6 – If you’re looking for unexpected shots, this may be your jam. Both have explosive and balanced crimes; and both have had outright sus games this season, especially in the secondary. We know Road Mack Brown is the worst Mack Brown, but there is a clear talent advantage on the shoulder here.
It could become the best game of the day. Plan accordingly

Invisible Filth

Apple Cup: Washington +1 vs. Washington State

Over the years, the Apple Cup has brought us different results. a complete defeat donated by (usually) talented huskies, an occasional unlikely shock on the snowy plains of Pullman, even a few terrible races between teams with 1 or 2 combined wins.

But I don’t think there’s ever been such a traditionally vicious competition in my life ever had this … irrelevant.

Oh, of course. With the letter W and a few breaks, Cougars can redeem the unlikely P12 North title, and good for them. But it’s irrelevant in the sense that teams that start this season aren’t even far from the decision-makers – especially these coaches, one of whom cleans his desk on Saturday; the other has one and maybe just two more races, and then they do the same.

U Dubin Jimmy Lake got fired in the middle of an already bad season after another bad loss and a controversy that saw him. hit the player aside. Nick Rolovich had already he was fired early in the season because he defied the vaccination credentials of state workers, leaving 101 men in need and without a manager.

And both coaches owed a lot to their players, far more – one, suspends his political beliefs as a government employee long enough to fill an invoice he sells to players; second, be cursed as an adult in the room and keep his hands away from an unpaid college student who deserves a degree.

In short, it’s just incredibly sad that the 170 scholarship athletes who committed to these institutions and the two men who made them dream of high school don’t get to quit through (and maybe their careers) with the same adults. who were to guide them, but who actually betrayed them at the end of the day.

It may not be filthy – indeed, it seems to be a bit dotted and competitive – but it is unseen. Neither of these institutions has earned your support or entrenched interests today. Congratulations to all the players, though. I look forward to seeing some of you on the transfer portal these happier days.
