Manika Batra did not win a medal after the QF loss to the women’s and mixed doubles game

Star India paddler Manika Batra did not win a medal at the World Table Tennis Championships when she dropped out of the semifinals in the mixed doubles and women’s doubles in Houston, USA.

Just one win away from the historic medal, Batra and G Sathiyan lost to Japan’s Tomakazu Harimoto and Hina Hayata in a 1-3 (5-11 2-11 11-7 9-11) mixed doubles final in the final eight rounds.

Batra had a new opportunity to make history, but she faltered again and lost in the women’s quarterfinals with her partner Archana Kamath in live games.

Batra and Kamath did not respond to the duplicate of Luxembourgish Sarah De Nutten and Ni Xia Lian as they lost 0-3 (1-11 6-11 8-11) in a controversial race.
