The Michigan State Spartans‘annual college hockey game against Michigan Wolverines has been announced and tickets are now on sale. “Duel in the D” will be held on February 12, 2022 at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
The teams last met on November 5 at Yost Arena in Ann Arbor and on November 6 at Munn Arena in East Lansing, which Michigan took to sweep. Competitors will play again on February 11 in Ann Arbor before the Detroit match.
“Playing in the NHL arena is a long tradition for our programs,” Michigan State head coach Danton Cole said. through 313 Presents. “It’s a tradition that brings the competition between Michigan State and Michigan to our fans on the Detroit subway and has provided many wonderful memories for our players, alumni, fans and our young hockey players. Detroit is a big part of the history of this competition, and we’re lucky to have these opportunities to play at Little Caesars Arena, as we did at Joe Louis Arena. All Michigan State-Michigan matches are circled on our calendars, and competing there is always special.
Michigan will have four players from the first five selections of the 2021-2022 season. NHL Draft and will be an important yardstick for Spartans. Michigan State last won the match in 2016.
