In the future, TDI has outlined a number of strategic objectives, including the commercial performance, sales strategy, integrity and compliance of the data and databases it oversees, and the possible future integration of data resources from other tennis stakeholders.
“As a lifelong tennis fan, I’m excited to join TDI at such an exciting time, as tennis seems to be changing the way its data and content is utilized in the modern game,” Lampitt said.
“I look forward to building the TDI team and the joint mission of ATP and ATP Media to provide the best experience for tennis fans around the world.”
Andrea Gaudenzi, ATP’s chairman and board member of TDI, added: “Tennis’s biggest growth potential is in the media and data. Because ATP Media is already successfully dedicated to the media side of the ATP Tour, TDI was created for the data side and to scale revenue on behalf of our members. ”
