PUNE Following the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions in Pune, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has begun the process of leasing sports complexes to private parties to destroy.
Several proposals have been submitted to the Standing Committee for approval.
Shivajirao Dhume Sports Center in Sahakarnagar, Ghorpade Peth Reservoir, Baburao Sanas Sports Center Table Tennis Hall near Sarasbaug and a swimming tank in Shivajinagar are all on the table.
Hemant Rasane, chairman of the standing committee, said: “The proposals are before the committee and the members will make the appropriate decision.”
Speaking anonymously, a PMC officer said that due to the closure of sports centers, the need for repairs and maintenance is urgent.
