Eight from NDSU at HERO Sports FCS All-America Teams

FARGO, ND – The state of North Dakota had eight players in the HERO Sports FCS All-America Teams, which was announced on Tuesday, December 14th.

NDSU Defender Hunter Luepke, wide receiver Christian Watson, right Takla Cordell Volson and strong security Michael Tutsie was named to the All-American first team. Volson is only the fourth player in Bison’s history to have earned All-America awards in three different seasons. Tutsie earned his first All-American honor.

Bison’s tight head Noah Gindoff, left Takla Cody Mauch and defense head Brayden Thomas was named to the All-American third team. All three appear for the first time on the FCS All-America team.

Defensive Takla Eli Mostaert was named to the Sophomore All-America Team. He was Freshman All-American from 2020-21 and is the sixth Bison player to be awarded among the best second-year players in the country.

Second-place North Dakota State (12-1) will host third-place James Madison (12-1) in the semi-finals of the NCAA Division I Football Championship at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17 in Gate City. Bank field in Fargodome. Tickets are available at GoBison.com/tickets.
