It’s everyone’s favorite time of year! No, not Christmas. National Signing Date for Division 1 Football! This is the first day that high school football players can send their National Letter of Intent (NLI) to the college of their choice and their commitment to the school becomes “binding” … at least until the player decides to enter the competition. the transfer portal or university forgets to send a signed NLI and the player is free to commit elsewhere.
Baylor currently has 19 verbal commitments in the 2022 class, which is good in 33rd country and 6th in the Big 12 (247 per sport). Expect this number to increase through transfers and perhaps a late signer or two in February, as there should be at least 22 vacancies for retirees next season.
