Ganguly explains Sachin Tendulkar’s absence from Indian cricket; “Too many conflicts …”

[ad_1]

Sourav Ganguly, chairman of the Indian Cricket Control Commission (BCCI), has revealed why Sachin Tendulkar is currently in no way connected to Indian cricket. After discussing the latter’s program “Backstage with Boria” with Boria Majumdar, Ganguly argued that Sachin is different from the others and that he does not want to be involved in things that could lead to a possible conflict. In addition, Ganguly claimed to want to see Sachin participate in Indian cricket in one way or another.

“Sachin is obviously a little different. He doesn’t want to be involved in all of this. I’m sure Sachin’s involvement in Indian cricket in some way can’t be better news. In what way it obviously needs to be clarified,” Ganguly said in an interview with Boria Majumdar.

“There is too much conflict”: Ganguly

Ganguly added that there are “too many” conflicts in Indian cricket, which he thinks is unrealistic. The statement comes at a time when Ganguly is currently embroiled in an alleged disagreement with Indian skipper Virat Kohl, who recently denied BCCI president’s previous comment regarding his T20I captain. Ganguly had said in an interview that he had asked Kohl not to give up the captain of the T20I. However, at a news conference on Wednesday, Kohli said he was never asked to resign as India’s T20I captain.

“Because there are too many conflicts around. Right or wrong, everything you do, the word ‘conflict’ constantly jumps out the window, some of which I think are really really unrealistic. So you have to find the best way to keep the best skills in the game. And at some point Sachin will find way of participating in Indian cricket, “Ganguly added.

Meanwhile, two players from Ganguly’s work season are already involved in Indian cricket. Although Rahul Dravid is the head coach of Team India, VVS Laxman was recently appointed to lead the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The remaining two men from the Ganguly era – Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag – are not yet involved in Indian cricket.
