Kenneth Walker III’s shame of refusing is boring

Most Michigan State football fans are delighted that Kenneth Walker III left the Peach Bowl, but some are disappointed. And it’s boring.

Since Kenneth Walker III, he has been involved with Mel Tucker and Michigan State football. He ate, slept, and breathed in the state of Michigan and was grateful to the school and coaching staff for “taking the opportunity” for him.

Walker earned praise from teammates and coaches throughout the break, and anyone who looked at him practically promoted him as a “special player.” He was too modest to talk about himself in the midst of all these courtesies of his peers. He just wanted to talk about the team.

It was like gritting his teeth trying to find a quote from him who was talking about himself or his own goals (one of which was winning the Heisman Trophy), and it just showed what kind of player and person he was.

He was the team’s first superstar. There are often no such.

So after giving his all for the entire season and helping Michigan State transform from a two-win team to a 10-year New Year’s Six team, Walker finally decided to make the best decision for himself: he decided to refuse. In the Peach Bowl to prepare for the NFL draft.

It was a smart decision because we have seen players lose millions of dollars in NFL contracts due to serious injuries in bowls outside of the playoffs. These opt-out options are more insurance so these guys can stay healthy and practice for an NFL draft instead of suffering from weird injuries that can cost them a lot of money or even a career in the league.

Basically, giving up non-playoff bowls is a wise decision for the best drafting opportunities in the NFL, and Walker decided to make a difficult but right choice. He finally decided to think for himself for the first time in his Spartan career.

Still, there are some old-fashioned (beautifully speaking) fans who believe he’s too selfish and “doesn’t care about the team but only cares about himself”. Yes, there are unfortunately those people.

And that’s unfortunate because while they’re not talking about about 95 percent of the fan base, their dissatisfaction is visible to everyone, including Walker himself. But that is not what represents us. They are a minority. They are marginalized. They don’t speak for Spartan fans. In fact, some claim they’re not real fans if they don’t realize what Walker has done for Michigan State is unspeakable. He is a Spartan legend.

Walker left the Peach Bowl, and it’s sad that we’ll never see him dress up in Spartans again, which makes Pitt a little less exciting, but his decision wasn’t disappointing. It’s boring to hit him for a smart business decision.

I’m sorry he can’t risk his career and possibly millions of dollars to entertain you once again, but you live. I promise.
