Green Bay Packers grabbed third consecutive division championship when Aaron Rodgers set Brett Favre’s TD record

BALTIMORE – Matt LaFleur only wins the title of division. In three years as coach of the Green Bay Packers, they have won NFC North three times.

Aaron Rodgers only throws touchdown passes. In his 14th season as a Packers starter, he leveled Brett Favre’s franchise record with 442 touchdowns.

Almost everyone dressed in green and gold left M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday the way they wanted – with a win of 31-30 Lamar Jackson without Baltimore Ravens. The victory was confirmed after the Ravens failed to convert with a 2-point conversion that would have given them one point in the lead with 45 seconds left.

It was the second time in three games that Baltimore decided to win the draw with a two-point conversion attempt and failed. Ravens lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month after a successful conversion with one point dropped 12 seconds left.

The Packers (11-3) won the division title, giving them an automatic playoff spot and remaining number one in the NFC playoffs after three games. And Rodgers responded to the man he replaced as a Packers quarterback in 2008.

Greg Jennings grabbed Rodgers ’first touchdown 14 years ago in Dallas, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling got No. 442 when Rodgers leveled Favre. Rodgers did it in 45 games less as he set the mark for his 210th game (203th as a starter), while Favre needed 255 games (and 253 starts) in 16 seasons. Rodgers has a 17th season, but didn’t become a beginner until his fourth year.

Rodgers has also thrown 193 fewer abductions in his career than as a member of Favre Packers.

Rodgers participated in the game, claiming three touchdown passes to break the record and four to break it. He threw his first game, his No. 440 career, 3-yard out to Davante Adams and leveled the game 14-14 in the second quarter. It was also the 65th touchdown of his career for Adams, combining Rodgers and Adams with Rodgers and Jordy Nelson the most in Packers ’history as a quarterback in the finish line. The second, No. 441, came in the second quarter opening time when he bought the time and took the 9-yard to Aaron Jones for a 21-14 lead.

The third, a record level of 442, was 11 yards for Valdes-Scantling with 12:54 left in the final quarter and led 28-17. Rodgers had almost a fourth touchdown pass for the record, but he and Allen Lazard only lost 11 yards in the middle of the fourth quarter.

Now Rodgers gets to try to break the mark at home against Browns on Christmas Day.
