Tennis: Rafa Nadal’s COVID-19 test: Australian Open plans questionable

Rafael Nadal tested positive coronavirus after the game exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi, the Spaniard said Monday.

Nadal wrote on Twitter that the positive result came from a PCR test he did when he arrived in Spain.

Nadal said he would take “unpleasant moments“but hopes to recover” little by little. “He is in isolation at home and everyone who has been in contact with him was informed of his positive outcome.

Nadal said that as a result of a positive result, he needs to be flexible with his playing schedule. He said he was analyzing future options depending on his condition.
