A second operation will be performed on Abid in Pakistan after a diagnosis of heart disease

December 22 (Reuters) – Pakistan’s opening game Abid Ali underwent another operation on Wednesday after he was diagnosed with acute coronary artery disease, the country’s cricket board (PCB) said.

Acute coronary artery disease is associated with a sudden decrease or blockage of blood flow to the heart.

Abid was diagnosed with heart disease after he complained of chest pain in a domestic first-class match on Tuesday. Read more

“Abid was given another operation today. The operation was successfully completed and he is recovering,” PCB said. Twitter.

“The PCB medical team is in contact with the Intervention Cardiologist for follow-up care and rehabilitation. Abid is currently stable.”

The 34-year-old has played 16 test matches and six one-day national matches in Pakistan.
