BLAINE – Willmar WarHawks played for three days at the NA3HL Showcase on Wednesday, beating Peoria Mustangs 2-0.
Willmar won 3-0 at the National Sports Center to improve his record 17-10-1.
Ben Luedtke and Anthony Foster scored in WarHawks. Both came their time late.
Luedtke scored his 15th goal of the year in the first period at 6:01 p.m., with Foster picking up the goal pass.
The two were combined and reborn at the second round at 19:36. This time, Foster scored his ninth goal of the year with a pass from Luedtken.
Wayzatan striker Luedtke has scored 15 goals in 18 matches and 18 assists. Warroad striker Foster have scored nine goals and 17 assists in 28 matches.
Will Pinney saved the closure on WarHawks’ network. The St. Louis Park goalkeeper blocked 29 times. He has a 5-5 record, and 3.15 goals against an average of 0.906 percent over this season.
Willmar is now gone until January 7th. They return from vacation to play Mason City Toro at 7:10 a.m. at the Willmar Civic Center Arena.
