The second day’s game in the India and South Africa opening test here on Monday had to be suspended without a ball bowling due to the continued heavy and continuous rain until the morning.

What began this morning with drizzle turned into a steady rain in the afternoon. Twice the rain stopped and the judges ended the inspection, but on both occasions just before they were due to step out, the heavens reopened.
