Mitchell and his family want to see the archival records held by the CA about the 1985 tour, including a report by tour guide Jack Bennett and all relevant medical information. After returning home from the tour, Mitchell told several people about the alleged incident before suppressing memory for decades. Last August, he decided to start looking for answers, which led him to contact Cricket Australia and Sports Integrity Australia. Tour players, many of whom had long careers as first-class or international cricketers, have expressed concern about the tour’s management and lack of response from the Australian Cricket Board (now CA) despite older and continuing rumors of the case’s secrecy.
