This weekend’s University of Minnesota Duluth vs. Cloud State University men’s hockey series has been postponed.
The series, which was scheduled to be held at No. 4 St. Cloud on Friday and Saturday, has been postponed due to COVID-19 under Minnesota Duluth’s No. 8 Hockey Program. says the press release.
The series was meant to be the first match between competitors as the Huskies beat the Bulldog 3-2 in the NCHC Frozen Faceoff semi-finals last March.
The teams will try to get into the league later this season, but if that doesn’t work out, the games will be declared non-competitions, the press release says.
SCSU says At this time, no refunds will be given to season ticket holders as season tickets will be accepted on the changed days and times in the series.
Ticket holders for a single game can keep their tickets, which will be re-evaluated in rescheduled games; change your ticket to another home game; or request a refund from the SCSU ticket office.
The Minnesota Duluth team has been fully vaccinated and most have been boosted. CBSS 6 reports. This is the first COVID-related schedule change in Duluth, Minnesota, although several players have followed the health and safety protocol this season.
