As COVID-19 cases continue to rise at an alarming rate in the country, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also decided to give a booster dose of the vaccine to all players, Geo news reports on Thursday.

According to the source, players on the national cricket team will receive the third dose of Pfizer vaccine, and support staff will also receive the booster vaccine.

In the first phase, players and other staff will receive a booster point at the National High-Performance Center (NHPC) tomorrow (January 7).

On the other hand, female cricket and their support staff have already been vaccinated with a third dose of the vaccine.

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan’s coronavirus positivity rate exceeded 2% in one day for the first time since October 14 last year, with 1,085 new infections detected in the last day, official data from Thursday morning showed.
