MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis police are asking the public for help in identifying two men they say robbed a South Memphis Cricket Wireless store on Thursday afternoon.
The robbery took place at about 1:40 p.m. in a 3100-block store on South Third Street.
One suspect went to the company with a small semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the registry, while another suspect acted as a spy, police said.
The men didn’t get any money from the registry, but a surveillance video shows how one man runs away with the goods.

They left and headed for Biscayne Road, police said.
Police described the gun-armed suspect as a teenager, slender, and about 58-510 years old. He was wearing a red hoodie, gray torn blue jeans, black shoes, and a COVID mask covering most of his face.
The other suspect was also in his late teens, slender and about 56-59 years old. He was wearing a red jacket, dark blue jeans and red FILA slippers.
