S. Meghana – ready to seize a great opportunity on the women’s cricket team

Self-confidence and consistency on the domestic track helped me get back on the Indian team, S. Meghana says.

“It’s been a long wait. I last played in India in 2016. “I remember the early days when Purnima Rao (former captain of India), who coached Andhra, insisted that I should work on my punch because I had the ability to hit even good-length broadcasts,” he said.

“And there is Nooshin (al Khadeer) who has always given invaluable tips with Mithal hag. They played a big role in making me more consistent, ”Meghana said.

Meghana, who learned the basics from ACA coach Srinivas Reddy and Krishna Rao in Vijayawada, said he made some small changes to his technique.

The SCR cricketer admires Mithal “growing up watching him” and legend Sachin Tendulkar and believes the New Zealand tour could very well be a turning point in his career.
