The Michigan footballer announces his return for the sixth year

Special teams are often an unprecedented part of college football, but to prove its importance, look no further when it goes wrong.

This was the case that gave Michigan footballer Brad Robbins his first chance to start, as incumbent Will Hart had a hard time in 2017. This allowed Robbins to get into a Purdue match in week 4 of his freshman season.

Robbins suffered an injury that prevented him from entering the 2018 season, which meant Hart had to take the reins, and he did so admirably. The duo struggled again on their return in 2019 as Hart retained his position as a starter. In 2020, however, Hart started rocky, allowing Robbins to step back in to regain the role of starting player.

Hart moved on and Robbins shone as the main winner. As one of the best in Big Ten, he often turned the field, and he does so once again when he announced on Monday that he would return for his sixth year.

Robbins also had a donation in 2021 where he met certain criteria – either in length or distance or within the opponent’s 20-yard line – he would donate a certain amount of money to a charity that benefits his mentor’s fight against cancer. Unfortunately, his mentor died of an illness this fall.

When he returns in 2022, this will be Robbins ’final year of eligibility.
