Two Australian news anchors spread the virus on Tuesday, questioning possible mistakes in Novak Djokovic’s visa application. They didn’t seem to know that their tennis legend costume was being recorded.
“Look no further, Novak Djokovic is a lying, cunning ass —-” Melbourne’s 7NEWS anchor Rebecca Maddern said.
“He’s an asshole,” Mike Amor replied. Maddern went on to say, “It’s unfortunate that everyone else [messed] around him. But go out when you know you are COVID positive. Well, I don’t even think he was COVID-positive. “
“He gave b ——- f —— an excuse,” said Amor. “Fell over his own lies, what’s going on, right? That’s what happened.”
The court ruled on Monday that the 20-time Grand Slam champion would be released from arrest and the visa restored. However, the government still threatens to revoke his visa a second time and deport him.
Djokovic traveled to the country after Victorian authorities granted him a medical exemption from the country’s strict vaccination requirements. According to his lawyer, it was granted because the tennis star had a positive COVID-19 test last month. However, on his arrival earlier this week, Australian border forces rejected his release as invalid and prevented him from entering the country.
An Australian government lawyer said earlier that he should not be deported before his hearing; however, Australian Home Secretary Karen Andrews told reporters Last week, the tennis star got “free to leave anytime he wants to do so, and the Border Force really makes it easier.”
His father, Srdjan, said otherwise last week while speaking in the Serbian capital, Belgrade per Sky Sports.
“He’s not under arrest, he’s in jail,” he said. “They took all his stuff, even his wallet. They just left him a phone, no change of clothes, and no place to wash his face. He’s in jail, our pride is a prisoner of these idiots.
