Bears interviews Browns’ Glenn Cook at GM opening and Doug Pederson at head coach’s opening

Prior to becoming a player, Cook was a graduate assistant coach at the University of Miami, in his alma mater. He assisted support forces and defensive linemen as well as assisted in recruitment work.

As a player, Cook was the winner of four consecutive years in 2004-2008 in Miami, where he recorded 185 tackles, two sacks and two forced brawls, playing 47 games in 17 starts.

After college, Cook was selected by the Cubs in the 46th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft, and he played in the club in 34 Rookie League matches.

Pederson, on the other hand, has 25 years of NFL experience, 13 as a quarterback and 12 as a coach. He last worked for five seasons as the head coach of the Eagles from 2016-20. He set a record of 42-37-1 in the regular season and 4-2 in the playoffs and led the series to the first Super Bowl championship in 2017.

Pederson began his NFL coaching career at the Eagles as an offensive quality control coach for Andy Reid’s staff (2009-10) and as a quarterback coach (2011-12). When Reid became the Chiefs ’head coach in 2013, he brought Pederson with him and hired him as the offensive coordinator. Pederson served in this role from 2013-15 before being appointed head coach of the Eagles in 2016.

As a player, Pederson joined the NFL in 1991 with Dolphins as a free agent. He eventually played in 100 matches with 17 starts over 13 seasons in Dolphins (1992-94), Packers (1995-98), Eagles (1999) and Browns (2000) before returning to second season in the Green Bay ranks (2001-04). ).

All of Pederson’s 17 career starts came in nine consecutive seasons at the Eagles in 1999 and eight at the Browns in 2000. He threw nine of his career’s 12 touchdown passes in those two campaigns.

Pederson won the Super Bowl in 1996 as Packers ’third-game quarterback after Brett Favre and Jim McMahon. When he led the Eagles Championship 21 years later, Pederson became the fourth person to win the Super Bowl as a player and coach, joining Tom Flores, Mike Ditka and Tony Dungy.
