Former Penn State Nittany Lions director Noah Cain moves to LSU Tigers

Former Penn State player Noah Cain is moving to LSU, he announced Thursday night.

Cain, who arrived on the transfer portal on Wednesday, will join Tigers ’new coach Brian Kelly. Cainin from Baton Rouge is being recruited by LSU after high school.

LSU will lose leading rusher Ty Davis-Price, who entered the NFL draft after running 1,003 yards and six touchdowns last season. In addition to several other young defenders, LSU will return Corey Kiner, who finished second on the team in 2021 with 324 running yards.

Cain, who set a Penn State freshman record with eight quick touchdowns in 2019, said he would graduate from Penn State after two years of eligibility. He started seven games this season and finished second on the team with 350 runs in 106 moves.

The junior, who weighs 5 feet 10, 220 pounds, suffered an injury at the end of the season in the opening race of the 2020 season.

ESPN rated Cain as the 4th runner and 69th player in the 2019 recruiting class.
