Live ranking for tennis players – The New Indian Express

KOCHI: The Ernakulam District Tennis Association (EDTA) has launched a Live Ranking System for players of all ages. This is the first time the state has had such a system where players play many matches and get to know where they are in the tennis talent pool, which in turn provides valuable match experience for larger tournaments.

The motto of the tournament is “Life Skills thru Tennis”, which emphasizes that the game also develops the necessary life skills, which in turn improves society in general. Ranking points are awarded to players in ERT2022 (Ernakulam Ranking Tournament), an innovative program launched by EDTA on 1 January. All players in all classes (under 12, under 14, under 16 (boys and girls and men and women) will play against each other in the block. All players in the district can register for free and matches will be played on all tennis courts in the area throughout the year.
