The NTTF is ready for the 2022 World Table Tennis Championships

The Nigerian Table Tennis Association (NTTF) says it is ready to take part in the 2022 World Table Tennis Championships, which will be billed to the Chinese city of Chengdu in April.

NTTF Secretary-General Chimezie Asiegbu said in a conversation with the Daily SunSports in a chat that the alliance has launched the machinery to see it grow a solid team.

– The association is looking to the future, and I have to say that we are preparing for the 2022 World Table Tennis Championships. We take a close look at the players and do our best to introduce a team that competes with the best in the world.

The ITTF Group, the Chinese Table Tennis Federation (CTTA) and the city of Chengdu announced the dates for the 2022 World Table Tennis Championship finals. The event will be held from Sunday 17th to Tuesday 26th April 2022.

ITTF President Petra Sörling commented: “I am pleased to confirm that the finals of the 2022 World Table Tennis Championships will be held in Chengdu in April.

The table tennis family expects full-year table tennis activity after the successful end of 2021, which predicted the international launch of the sport.

This is the first time Chengdu has hosted a world table tennis championship, and it is the first time since 2008 that China has hosted a team championship.

Liu Guoliang, Vice President of ITTF and President of CTTA, added: “The World Table Tennis Championships are the most important ITTF event of the year as well as one of the most anticipated events for fans worldwide.

The event is a two-way promotion for table tennis competitions and the city of Chengdu. Chengdu has a wealth of experience in organizing table tennis events, havisuccessfully held the ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup and the Chengdu Open. We believe the city will once again grow the popularity of table tennis worldwide this year World Table Tennis Championships. “
