Former Pitt Linebacker Cam Bright Commits To Washington

Former Pitt linebacker Cam Bright has decided to play his final season of college football across the country.

Following an official visit this past weekend, Bright announced on Monday afternoon his Intentions to sign with the Washington Huskies of the Pac-12.

Back on January 3, Bright Surprisingly announced his decision to transfer from the program. For his career at Pitt, Bright collected 186 total tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks and 4 pass Breakups.

Bright, a 2021 team Captain, became the fourth linebacker to transfer from Pitt since the start of the 2021 season, joining Wendall Davis, AJ Roberts and Leslie Smith. While Roberts and Smith didn’t come as a surprise, Bright and Davis were somewhat Unexpected.

Bright will become the new Washington head Coach Kalen DeBoer’s first team and will no doubt be counted on for his leadership. DeBoer comes to Washington after a short but successful stint at Fresno State.
