ITA Kickoff Weekend Host Site: Texas is once again hosting a regional site for ITA Kickoff Weekend at the Texas Tennis Center. Longhorns will face Florida Atlantic on Friday, Jan. 28 (11 a.m. CT) and either SMU or Rice on Saturday, Jan. 29 (2 p.m. CT). The winners of each regional site will advance to the ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championships from 11-14. February in Madison, Wis.

Team rankings: Texas is 1st in the latest national rankings for the ITA Collegiate Division I (Jan. 26). This is the fourth consecutive poll in which the Longhorns have been in the rankings. UT earned No. 1 in last year’s last poll and is ranked No. 1 in every first three weekly polls this season starting on January 5th. Texas has been in the Top 10 for the past four years. final national polls (No. 6 in 2018, No. 9 in 2019, No. 4 in 2020, and No. 1 in 2021).

Individual investments: Two UT players in current ITA national Top 125 singles rankings (December 8): Kylie Collins (No. 40) and Malaika Rapolu (No. 117). The Longhorns pair is also on the tab in the current ITA national Top 60 doubles rankings (December 8): Charlotte Chavatipon and Kylie Collins.

Opening of the season doubles sweep: Texas opened the 2022 doubles season with a 7-0 home win against Texas State on Sunday (January 23rd). UT earned a four-point game and won a straight set in all six doubles to win the dominant way.

A solid start in Miami: Texas recorded a total of 10 doubles and two doubles wins at the three-day Miami Invitational (Jan. 15-17) in Coral Gables, Fla. In Sophomores.
