Posts Kohli has been under scrutiny recently as he has not scored a hundred goals in international cricket since 22/11/2011 when he crushed a 70th ton against Bangladesh in Kolkata. Many have questioned whether Kohl’s best is over. But the explosive dough received support from his teammate Mohammed Sham, who opposed his critics. “What if he (Kohli) hasn’t scored a century. The century doesn’t determine how big a player he is. It’s not that he didn’t score goals,” said T.eam India pacer speaking to India.com.
“He’s done fifty lately steadily, and we have no reason why we should even think so. Fifty or sixty is also the result, and as long as it helps the team, there’s no reason to complain.”
Kohli recently resigned as captain of the Indian test in January after a 1-2 red-ball defeat to South Africa.
The RCB cricketer had previously left the captain of the T20I and was soon removed from the ODI role. In December last year, an Indian cricket board announced Rohit Sharma as a full-time whiteball skipper.
Under Kohl’s leadership, Sham became one of India’s leading bowlers along with Jasprit Bumrah. Shami praised his teammate’s leadership skills, and he called him “bowler captain.”
Promoted
“Kohl’s energy is the best, and it also massages the rest of the team. He is the captain of the bowler and always gave us the freedom to express himself. He always took our opinion and asked for options,” he stated.
“We have spent so much time together and there are so many memorable moments. It is always up to me and it is difficult to choose or choose any such moment,” he added.
