Thursday Boys’ Hockey: Decker, Vlasaty, Short-Handed Rockets Exclude Winona – Post Bulletin

WINONA – Big Nine Conference’s John Marshall and Winona played a goalless goal over 24 minutes.

Then Mason Decker decided that was enough now.

The distinctive JM junior made it to the second set at 7:29, when the Rockets rose to the game and made a goalless draw.

Decker then scored again, just 61 seconds later.

He then scored again, just 42 seconds after his second goal.

Overall, Decker scored four times when John Marshall – playing with just 12 healthy skaters – pulled a 6-0 win at Bud King Ice Arena. The talented scorer and scorer now have 12 points in the last five games and helped JM (4-4-0 Big Nine, 6-10-0 overall) cut the losing streak in three matches.

Decker’s natural hat trick in the middle of the second set took place in just 1 minute and 43 seconds. He also scored in the third set and gave him a four-point night.

Moritz Thiemann and Cody Ahlstrom also scored for JM – Ahlstrom scored a short hand in the middle of the third set – and Cody Vlasaty stood high, stopping 27 shots in his first university ban.

Justin Brickner defeated Winhawks 31 times (2-9-0 Big Nine, 3-13-1 overall).

Winona, who wants to grab the six-game unbeaten glide, will host Fairmont on Saturday at 3 p.m. JM will host South St. Paul at the next game, Monday at 5:30 p.m., at the Rochester Recreation Center.

Fifteen Century players made it to the leaderboard as the Panthers scored 15 goals on Thursday night at the Graham Arena in the Big Nine Conference boys ’hockey win 15-0 against Austin High.

Century earned their second win in a row and overtook the Packers 55-5.

Cole Rocholl earned his first college lockout in the Century finish (6-3-0 Big Nine, 8-7-0 overall).

Austin dropped to 0-8-0, 1-11-0.

This was the only time these teams will meet this season. Century was offensively led by Grant Rosin, who scored his first college goal and then scored three more passes and two passes in a six-point game.

Andrew Hedin also scored his first college goal and added one pass. Senior defender Matt Haun scored twice and gave two passes, Aidan Swee scored for three passes, while Brody Josselyn scored for three passes, Jack Ottman scored for two passes and TJ Gibson scored twice.

Century is scheduled to return to action at 3pm on Saturday in Owatonna, while Austin is set to play in Mankato West at 2pm on Saturday.

Rochester Lourdes scored 1:37 in Thursday’s game and never missed, winning 7-1 against the Minnesota River at Graham Arena.

Lourdes is now 5-1-0 in their last six matches and 6-2-0 in January.

The Five Eagles had at least three points in the game, with Jackson Heim leading by two goals and two assists.

Peyton Loeslie scored twice and added one pass; Matthew Mahoney scored and two assists; Brayden Magnuson made three passes and a distinctive defender Charlie Kielty scored a goal and two assists.

Loeslie continued her hot series in January; he now has 15 points in eight games this month.

Xander Carter-Kleven denied 14 wins from 15 shots.

The Minnesota River lost for the fourth consecutive game and dropped to an overall score of 3-13-1. Lourdes improved by a 13-5-0 win and will play at St. Cloud Cathedral on Saturday at 2:15 p.m.
