Montana State Cross Country is demanding USTFCCCA academic awards

NEW ORLEANS – On Thursday, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association recognized Montana State’s men’s and women’s national ski teams as All-Academic Teams for the 2021 season.

To receive the All-Academic Award, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0. Both MSU teams easily met the criteria, with Bobcat women receiving 3.64 GPAs and men receiving 3.37 GPAs.

Two individuals also received All-Academic Athlete Awards from the USTFCCA. To qualify for the All-Academic Award, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and be placed in the top 25 (or 10 percent) of the NCAA Regional Championships.

Both Duncan Hamilton and Camila Noe was selected as All-Academic Athlete. Hamilton, a major in mechanical engineering in the state of Montana, demanded his third academic honor from the USTFCCCA. Noe, a major in MSU nursing, has also previously received the USTFCCCA All-Academic Honorary Awards.

The Montana State Athletics Team returns to action on May 4-5. February, when the MSU program travels to Spokane to attend two meetings hosted by the state of Washington.
