The Sooners will return to action for day two at 10 am CT on Saturday, beginning with “Section B” of the Women’s shot put.
Starting off the day, redshirt senior Lauren Jones finished fifth in Women’s weight throw, marking a 65-3.25 (19.90m). Junior Geraldine Udo finished second in “Section B” of the Women’s weight throw, claiming a personal best of 60-1.75 (18.33m).
On the men’s side, Bayley Campbell placed second, throwing a personal best of 64-11.50 (19.80m) to move into third in the conference. Edward Jeans took fourth with a PR throw of 63-11 (19.48m). In Section B, Diego Trevino grabbed fourth, throwing a personal best of 55-10.25 (17.02m).
In the Women’s long jump, newcomer Pippi Lotta Enok jumped to second place in Section B, marking a 18-11.75 (5.78m).
On the track, freshman Jaylen Barringer took first in Section B of the men’s 400-meter dash, clocking a 48.19, while freshman Gage Hensey placed fifth with a personal best time of 49.13. Overall, Richard Kuykendoll clocked a 47.15, finishing fifth.
Camri Austin and Madison Langley-Walker represented the Sooners in the Women’s 60-meter hurdle Finals. Austin took fourth place with a time at 8.37, while Langley-Walker grabbed six, clocking a personal best in the semi-finals, 8.39, moving her to No. 6 in OU indoor history.
On the men’s side, redshirt senior Jasher Foster clocked a personal best time of 7.80 to finish second, making him No. 2 in the Big 12, tied for 19th in the NCAA, and tied for seventh in school history.
Demarius Smith and Karson Kowalchuk found themselves in the men’s 60-meter dash Finals. Smith came out victorious with a PR time of 6.64, putting him No. 3 in the conference, tied for 16th in the NCAA, and tied for fourth in program history. Kowalchuk grabbed fourth with a time of 6.70.
In the Women’s 800-meter run, senior Jordyn Kaplan ran a personal best at 2: 10.56, moving her to No. 9 in the history of the program.
