North Carolina Defeats Seton Hall On Saturday

Chapel Hill, NC – Graduate student Hunter Waldis (Naples, Fla.) Struck out six and allowed two earned runs in his first career start in the Seton Hall baseball team’s 19-0 loss to North Carolina on Saturday.

The Pirates tallied seven hits but had trouble advancing Runners all game. The Tar Heels also took advantage of four Seton Hall errors.

Trailing 4-0 Entering the top of the fourth, senior Justin Scotto (Tinton Falls, NJ) and freshman Jedier Hernandez (Trenton, NJ) reached on back-to-back two-out singles but the Pirates couldn’t capitalize.

Making his first career appearance, freshman Daniel Frontera (Red Bank, NJ) had a bounce back Inning of relief with a scoreless frame in the sixth but an 11-run seventh Inning put the game out of reach.
