INDIANAPOLIS – After having to postpone multiple matches due to injuries, the IUPUI Women’s tennis team took the court with just four players against Chicago State on Friday afternoon. The Jags fell 6-1. Meghan Bernard recorded the Sole point for IUPUI.
Chicago State earned the doubles point after defeating Bernard and Samantha Hayward in the No. 1 spot, 6-4. The partnership of Christina Stankovic and Sarah Lounsbury fell 6-1.
Bernard earned the Sole point for the Jags in the No. 2 singles spot in two sets, 6-3, 6-4. Stankovic fell at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1 while Lounsbury lost in two sets at No. 3 singles 6-4, 6-2. Hayward was the last Jag to compete in singles at No. 4 singles and fell 6-4, 6-1. IUPUI had to forfeit No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
The Jaguars will host Eastern Illinois on Sunday (March 6) at the West Indy Racquet Club at 7:00 PM.
