SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. –Senior Justin Lane tied for 14th place overall, highlighting Binghamton’s performance at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. The two-day event, which was hosted by Tennessee Tech, ended on Tuesday at the Sevierville Golf Club. In the final team standings, the Bearcats were 11th out of 16 teams.

Lane fired a 70-68 = 141/3-under par for the two rounds. His final round of 68-4-under par tied for the third-lower score of the day. He made four birdies over those 18 holes and didn’t have one bogey.

“Justin had a great final round and a very solid tournament,” head Coach Bernie Herceg said. “We had yet to play outdoors this spring so it took Justin and our guys some time to get going on Monday. So this is great for Justin in his first event.”

As a team, Binghamton shot 301-293 = 594 / + 18 over par.

The Bearcats head to the Carpetbagger Classic this coming Saturday-Sunday. The event will be held in Urbana, Md.
